As The Byrds once sang, “To every thing, there is a season.” Even to elder law!

For the last few years, the month of May has officially served as National Elder Law Month, a chance for elder law attorneys all around the country to raise awareness about what we do, why it matters, and how we can help families like yours.

Unlike some other areas of legal practice, elder law is a bit of a mystery for a lot of people. Clients often come to us in need of one particular service, but they might not be aware of everything else we can do. Accordingly, we’d like to take this opportunity to highlight a few of the services we provide here at Medina Law Group.

As Pennington elder law attorneys, we help you prepare for virtually every medical, financial, or legal challenge that you and/or your parents might face while growing older. These include:

  • Disability planning
  • Guardianships
  • Conservatorships
  • Medicaid planning
  • Veterans benefits
  • Foundational estate planning
  • Trust planning and management
  • Preparing and paying for long-term care
  • Nursing homes (finding the right one and figuring out payment plans)
  • Asset protection and wealth management
  • Battling age discrimination
  • Proactively making decisions about which kinds of emergency or life-saving treatments you’ll receive
  • Working with special needs imposed by dementia, disability, or disease
  • Making sure you have financial funds in place to cover you for every minute of the rest of your life
  • Ensuring a smooth transition of your affairs to your loved ones
  • Protecting your family from headache, hardship, and strife after you’re gone
  • And so much more

As you can see, elder law touches on nearly every aspect of aging in America, and we’re proud to help make that process easier, more affordable, and less intimidating. Planning provides peace of mind, and that’s what we’re here for.

Please join us this month in renewing a commitment to giving the future the attention it deserves. It’s never too early to plan.

Medina Law Group is a proud member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), which officially sponsors National Elder Law Month each year. Visit our virtual profile on NAELA’s website or call our office to learn more about how we can help you this spring.
