Statement Regarding COVID-19

Things are very topsy-turvy right now with the COVID-19 disease. There are two components to this that are impacting our clients and we want to address them. First, there is the impact to your legal planning and need for legal planning in the midst of a crisis. Second, there is the impact to your financial world based on having a plan to withstand this amount of market volatility, or not.

While long, I strongly urge you to read everything in this blog post.

We want to discuss two things regarding the legal planning:

1) Medina Law Group is Prepared to Remain Open and Serving Clients During The Crisis

In light of our current world, our team here at Medina Law Group remains concerned and vigilant regarding the COVID-19 disease. We want to advise our clients that we are monitoring the situation daily. Our disaster preparedness plan is in place, and we are capable of working remotely to serve client needs (including our central phone system).

Presently, no one in the office is symptomatic, and more importantly, we have an unlimited sick leave policy, so no team member feels obligated to choose between their job and taking care of themselves (or a family member).

Finally, we are available to arrange nearly all our meetings by webcam or phone if a client would prefer, and for emergencies, we are available to conduct in-home visits as our schedule permits. We also have implemented a heightened cleaning service to keep the office as safe as possible.

We understand that our legal services in estate planning and elder law planning are closest to “emergency” as they come and we are ready to help our clients in need.

Speaking of which…

2) Medina Law Group is Re-Launching Our Easy Legal Documents Early Response Service (ELDERS) for Fast & Easy Catastrophic Estate Planning.

In 2016, Medina Law Group created a novel proprietary solution to creating quick legal documents for people in need. While we believe that planning in advance is the best approach, we recognized that this is not always possible. Our proprietary E.L.D.E.R.S. Emergency Concierge program combines the elements of customized planning with the latest technology to provide a much needed service to seniors and college-aged kids, and the people who love them. And, it couldn’t be easier or more cost-effective.

Here is the quick Three-Step Approach.

Step OnePick Your Package – Basic Package ($1,000), which includes financial power of attorney and advance healthcare directive, or Full Package ($1,800), which includes last will and testament, plus financial power of attorney and advance healthcare directive.

Step Two: Schedule Your Meeting – Call our office to arrange a convenient time when all parties will be available to participate in an on-site visit at your home, facility, or other location. At the agreed upon time, our planning paralegal will attend from our office via Skype/FaceTime or other video conferencing service. You don’t have to worry about the technology involved; we will handle all aspects of the meeting, during which documents will be drawn up and personalized based on your needs and desires. Simultaneously, a notary will be on-site with you to assist with printing, signing, and finalizing your documents.

Step Three: Complete Your Planning – At the end of your signing, you will schedule an office consultation, where you, or the loved ones you’ve entrusted, will be able to discuss additional estate planning or retirement planning services, strategies, and tools offered by Medina Law Group to protect everyone you love and everything you own. Your fee for this office consultation is included as part of your E.L.D.E.R.S. package.
