Hey everybody welcome back to Five Fact Friday. This is hosted by the Medina Retirement Planning Channel, where we help you know it so you don’t blow it. I’ve got five great links for you. But before I jump into that I wanted to let you know about an upcoming seminar series that we have for existing and new clients. If you’re an existing client, we ask you to invite a friend. If you’re a potential new client, you can come along on your own. We’re gonna feed you at Seasons 52, either on July 29th or August 3rd. Here in Seasons 52 on Route One. We’ve got a lunch and dinner option. If you’re interested in that, contact us. As I mentioned, this is for new clients. And if you’re an existing client, we’d love to have you come and join us. Just bring along a friend so that we can meet them as well. We’re gonna be talking about trust taxes and the planning that you can do to help improve your retirement picture. We think it’s a fantastic reintroduction to seminars that we’ve been holding all across our history. Now that we’re back from the pandemic, we’re inviting people out of there. And maybe you wanna get out into the air conditioning in the summer, learn a little bit about what kind of planning would help you have a successful retirement. And in that case join us just reply to the link and we’ll take care of that for you.

So let’s get into the links for this week. And the first link is what I’m reading, and it is the link that I hit at the top of the video. And it is a list of the best New Jersey ice cream shops. And we’ve got a local favorite and it is the Bent Spoon. So I don’t know if you’ve ever had an opportunity to go and visit it, but one of the best things about The Bent Spoon is they offer some of the most unusual ice cream flavors, not only the ice cream, totally high quality, but you’re going to find things in there, like the red bean, corn, avocado, beet ice cream. Try them all. They’re really fantastic. And if you just want vanilla, well, you can do that too.

And the next link that I’ve got is what I’m watching. And it deals with supplements that you can take to improve your immune system. Actually, you can’t take any of those supplements. You can’t do things to keep your immune system healthy, but if you were somebody that thought that they had to take Vitamin C when they felt a cold coming on, you’re going to watch this video and learn that you actually can’t do anything to improve your immune system. But there are things that you can do to make sure that it is ready to respond when necessary. I urge you to check out that link.

The next link is what’s new in tech and we’re back wearing masks again or we might have to. I know that the news has been sharing a lot of information about the Delta variant of the Corona virus. And of course that has called into question whether or not it should be safe distancing again or using masks again. Well researchers at Harvard and MIT have come up with a new mask that will actually detect whether or not you have active Coronavirus within two hours of wearing it. So not only would you be wearing a mask to help protect people from spreading things around and things coming in, but it would also help you detect whether or not you have active Coronavirus in your system. Pretty cool invention. Although honestly, I don’t really want to go back to wearing masks. It would be nice if we didn’t have to. I’ll follow whatever the rules are, but I have been enjoying my mask free break as a vaccinated individual of society.

The next link is what’s new in legal. And there is a sweeping reform going through for retirement planning that is potentially going to be signed into law. Probably marks the biggest change the kind of retirement planning that you can do in recent years expanding the different ways that you can save for in your 401ks and the investment options that are in there. Now you can be sure if this is actually passed into law, we’re going to have a whole video series that we’ll talk about whether or not these changes are good or bad, but you may want to start to read up on them because if this legislation takes traction then you might turn out to be the law. And you’re going to have to watch the next video from it. But things are always changing. This why it’s important for you to have an advisor helping you guide through your legal and financial retirement planning. And to that end, I want to remind you of the fact that we do have those seminars that are coming up later in the month, July 29th, August 3rd. It would be a great opportunity for you to get started on learning more about it. We’re going to be hosting a lunch and dinner at Seasons 52. No, you can only choose one. You can’t go to both of them, but you can choose whichever one works best for you. If you’re a prospective new client, we’d love to welcome you in. And if you’re an existing client, we’d love to host you there. Just ask you to bring a friend along with you so that we can meet them as well.

Now the last link that we’ve got is what’s new in retirement. It’s actually a link that talks about potential fraud schemes that are targeted towards people in retirement. There are all kinds of things that are out there, including email and information fishing. And I would tell you I’ve actually had a few clients unfortunately fall victim to some of these because they didn’t ask us ahead of time whether or not those things were legitimate and whether they should be following them. Particularly focusing those individuals that are most vulnerable, aging into their eighties, and maybe a little less familiar with technology. So you may want to check out that link as well to start to put yourself on notice and on guard for how to avoid retirement scams.

So let’s review the links for this week. The first link is the best ice cream in the state of New Jersey. And it is our local favorite in Princeton, The Bent Spoon. What I’m watching is the link that talks about whether or not you can improve your immune system by taking supplements and how to actually keep it healthy. What’s new in tech are masks that are being developed to help you determine whether you have active Coronavirus within about two hours. What’s new illegal is a sweeping reform to retirement planning options. And what’s new in retirement is the fraud schemes that are targeting the people in retirement and how to avoid them. Last pitch effort for you to consider joining us at Seasons 52 either on July 29th or on August 3rd, either for lunch and or dinner. You can pick which one works out best for your schedule, but you do have to contact us. Reservations are mandatory. We have limited amount of space, but we are going to be focusing on trust to taxes and the kind of planning that you can do to help improve your retirement picture. We urge you to join us on either one of those settings. That’s going to be it for this Five Fact Friday. It is getting hotter and hotter. So my advice to you is go get some ice cream and go to the Bent Spoon. We’ll catch you later. Bye bye.
